Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Service Coordinator to ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience by leading and supporting front-end operations.

You will coordinate checkout flow, maintain front-end standards, and assign work for cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members to meet productivity and service expectations. Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum.
• Ability to operate cash register system and all financial services equipment.
• This position requires good communication, friendliness, customer orientation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoff between shifts
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-off when the team leader or area leader is not present
• Coordinate and drive actions involving monitoring and control of shrink and financial outcomes within areas of responsibility
• Champion participation in community programs and lead team member engagement
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members in their span of care
• Perform on-the-job training and mentoring
• Serve as subject matter expert for market programs and development/training programs
• Assign tasks to team members and follow up to ensure completion
