Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a front-end lead to manage daily operations and supervise front-end staff. You will respond to customer issues, maintain cleanliness, and uphold high standards of service at the store front.

The role requires strong communication, team leadership, and attention to detail, with the ability to train others and enforce policies while delivering a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+.
• 21+ to drive for company business where applicable.
• High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of related experience or equivalent education.
• HIPAA certification within 2 weeks of starting in role.
• TABC/LACT/ATTC certification within 2 weeks of starting in role where applicable.
• Manager Food Safety certification within 2 weeks of starting in role.
• AML certification within 2 weeks of starting in role.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners; schedule, plan, assign and direct work.
• Train cashiers and courtesy/utility clerks on policies, checkout procedures and cash handling.
• Ensure freshness, safety, refrigeration and sanitation standards are met in front-end operations.
• Provide checkout services, bag groceries and manage money with accurate register counts.
• Monitor parking lot cleanliness and manage customer flow on the front end.
• Monitor and address potential front-end shrink and budget controls.
• Maintain a friendly, customer-service oriented attitude and respond to questions and complaints.
• Keep the work environment safe, clean and compliant with procedures.
