Job summary

Northeast Grocery in the Albany area seeks a Front End Supervisor to lead the customer service-focused team across checkout, bottle return, and merchandised aisles. You will ensure fast, friendly service while maintaining policies and safety standards.

You will train and oversee cashiers, bottle associates and service clerks, manage schedules, and monitor cash controls and pricing accuracy in a busy grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong communication skills; basic literacy and basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee Front End operations including checkout, bottle return, cleaning of break room and restrooms, and parking lot area.
• Train and supervise cashiers, bottle associates and service clerks.
• Schedule associates and perform other administrative-like duties.
• Maintain cashier controls and security per company policies and procedures.
• Ensure pricing accuracy and 5S standards.
• Keep Front End area neat, clean and safe; adhere to sanitation regulations.
