Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Supervisor to support store operations at our Victoria, VA location. You will oversee Service Center, Self-Checkout and To-Go, lead and train associates, and drive customer satisfaction and sales performance.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering a positive shopping experience and complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated good judgment solving problems, making decisions and resolving grievances.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Front End operations including Service Center, Self-Checkout and Food Lion To-Go, if applicable.
• Hire, train, and develop associates to meet department needs.
• Supervise performance and conduct timely formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture reflective of Brand, Strategy and Culture.
• Support achievement of budgeted financials, operating results and KPIs.
• Create a positive shopping experience through fast, friendly customer service and solutions.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and inventory care.
• Use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, and Food Lion To-Go applications.
• Maintain department appearance, safety, sanitation and quality.
• Ensure Front End schedules are written per standards to provide extraordinary service.
