Save Mart Companies in Manteca, CA is seeking a Dept Specialist Key Carrier responsible for directing front-end staff and store operations in the absence of the Assistant Center Store Manager. You will help ensure outstanding customer service, front-end performance, and proper cash handling.

This role leads clerks, maintains front-end and parking lot standards, supports store balancing, and may cover total store operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18; High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year grocery/retail experience with 6 months in a similar role.
• Ability to read/write documentation and follow procedures.
• Knowledge of front-end operations and cash handling basics.

Responsibilities

• Direct front-end staff to ensure excellent customer service.
• Lead clerks and assistants to achieve high performance.
• Maintain front-end and parking lot conditions, including carts and cleanliness.
• Perform store balancing and front-end management tasks.
• Monitor customer experience and assist during peak times.
• Occasionally cover broader store operations as needed.
• Adhere to compliance and company policies.
