Job summary

Food Lion in Wesley Chapel, NC is seeking a Front End Manager to support store operations and drive financial and sales goals while fostering strong associate and customer relationships and a culture aligned with Food Lion strategy.

You will hire, train, and develop staff, supervise duties, manage schedules, control expenses, and ensure safety, sanitation, and excellent service to deliver a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated good judgment solving problems, making decisions, handling complaints, arbitrating disputes and resolving grievances.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must be willing to obtain Certified Food Safety Manager accreditation within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Front End operations including Service Center, Self-Checkout and Food Lion To-Go.
• Hire, train, and develop associates to meet department needs.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates; provide ongoing performance management training.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture reflective of our Brand, Strategy and Culture.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financials, operating results and KPIs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, customer-friendly shopping environment.
