Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Front End Lead to supervise our front end operations with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service.

You will train front end associates, oversee cashier transactions and layaway processes, manage BOPIS, and ensure smooth checkout, accurate cash handling, and friendly, professional interactions.

The role requires at least 3 years in retail cashier or supervisory work, strong math and communication skills, and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of retail cashier or retail supervisory experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong math skills for accurate cash handling.
• Excellent communication skills to implement policies and procedures, direct staff, and provide customer service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
• Flexibility with hours: ability to work a 40-hour workweek with varied hours, days, nights, and weekends as business dictates.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership to front end operations with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Oversee cashier transactions and customer service desk layaway transactions including monthly layaway audits.
• Train new front end associates and oversee their development.
• Educate customers on company programs such as loyalty, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan (RKPPP).
• Set up and manage BOPIS processes, and supervise store fulfillment and customer pickups.
• Manage shrink awareness by researching cash shortages and taking corrective action in the register.
