Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Wisconsin is seeking a Front End Operations Associate to support day-to-day front end department operations, policies, and procedures while upholding our core values.

You will help train and coach front end supervisors, improve customer service efficiency, and work with store management to maintain a clean, welcoming checkout area and rapid response to shopper needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Retail store experience with emphasis on customer service.
• Ability to multi-task and handle large workloads.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ACE, Supersked).
• Understanding of department operations (people management, merchandising, inventory, shrink, scheduling, expenses).
• Strong integrity and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Explore and develop more effective processes for Front End and related areas.
• Design a cleaner, more efficient working environment for Front End and Accounting.
• Ensure safe, effective customer service across the department.
• Improve Shopping Experience Progress Report, Customer Tracker, Associate Tracker, Cash Over/Short, CCG, ELMS utilization, Customer Comment Cards, FES Evaluations, Bob Audits, and Key Retailing Measurements.
• Provide training and follow up on all aspects of Key Retailing.
• Coach and train customer service manager and front end supervisors.
• Promote company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports in a positive manner.
• Support store management in maintaining a clean, pleasant shopping environment at checkout stands and related areas.
• Follow through on special assignments and perform any duties as assigned.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
