Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Head Cashier to lead the front-end team and deliver Best of the WEST service in a busy Knoxville store. You will supervise cashiers, process transactions accurately, and help maintain a clean, organized sales floor.

The role requires strong communication, training skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment while upholding company standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Train and coach associates on POS procedures and company policies.
• Lift, move, and position merchandise safely.
• Maintain organized, clean sales floor and displays.
• Communicate pricing, promotions, and inventory to customers.
• Follow store policies and participate in merchandising updates.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver Best of the WEST service.
• Process purchases, returns, exchanges at POS.
• Assist with training cashiers and answering questions.
• Support front-end operations and resolve customer concerns.
• Stock merchandise and maintain displays.
• Ensure shelves are signed, stocked, and properly displayed.
• Follow store policies and participate in merchandising updates.
