Qualifications

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Ability to train and coach associates while promoting a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise.
• Ability to safely use store equipment, including handheld devices and dollies.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to comprehend basic instructions and apply them to daily tasks.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• English literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cavender’s Culture and support the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting every customer and assisting throughout shopping.
• Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases, returns, exchanges, and other POS transactions.
• Ensure merchandise accuracy by verifying items and following commission validation procedures.
• Promote company programs, store promotions, and suggest complementary merchandise.
• Provide accurate and courteous responses to customer inquiries in person and over the phone.
• Train, coach, and support new and existing cashiers on POS procedures and cash handling.
• Assist store leadership by monitoring front-end operations and resolving customer concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed, signed, stocked, and located per company standards.
• Remain attentive to store safety and report concerns to management.
• Report to work on time and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist with merchandising updates, price changes, and other store tasks.
• Any other duties as assigned.
