Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. in Berea, OH is seeking a Front End Lead to drive loyalty, improve guest throughput, and ensure accurate sales capture across all lanes. This Leader will ensure the front end operates safely, efficiently, and securely while maximizing team member and guest satisfaction.

You will support the Front End Leader with assigned tasks and may handle additional duties. Annual certification is required to complete the role.

Qualifications

Experience required: 1 to 3 years.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Lifting: Up to 50 pounds.
Age: At least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

Maintain consistent coverage of Self Checkout activities and ensure accurate sales capture with strong guest service in a safe environment.
Direct traffic flow for speedy checkout and assist cashiers as needed (overrides, questions, etc).
Create and manage daily schedules and control sheets, dictate breaks, monitor cash procedures, and ensure coverage.
Assist Front End Leader with ownership of auxiliary Front End lines of business.
Take ownership of Front End when Front-End Leader is not on duty and act as point person.
Ensure daily compliance activities (AML, scale/PIN pad checks, WIC).
Order Front End supplies with cost awareness.
Train Front End Team Members on efficiencies, service culture, and loss prevention.
Support Front End Leader with special projects or champion assignments.
