Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Philadelphia is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations. You'll proactively visit registers, guide cashiers, handle customer questions, and ensure smooth front-end performance.

The role requires 1–2 years cashiering with leadership exposure, a high school diploma or GED, flexible availability including nights and weekends, and strong numerical skills.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Ability to operate front end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills; take direction and work in a team.
• Able to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and push/pull cart with up to 35 lbs. for up to 50 hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service by visiting registers and guiding Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist with customer issues at the register.
• Schedule store sweeps and monitor cash register supplies and cleanliness in restrooms and parking lots.
• Maintain exit door security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and supervise meal and rest breaks per policy and law.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team success.
