Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is hiring for a Front-end Lead role to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals and supervise Front-end duties to ensure efficient store operations.

Responsibilities include staff scheduling, budget support, and adherence to food safety and corporate guidelines while promoting teamwork and a positive store culture.

Qualifications

• Retail or Customer Service experience required.
• Effective communication skills essential.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions.
• Know products and respond to questions; make product suggestions.
• Monitor and control supply expenses for the department.
• Manage cash control, sales and cash records for the store.
• Schedule Front-end associates for adequate department coverage.
• Assist in preparing department budget and profit/loss reviews.
• Develop and implement department action plans to achieve results.
• Collaborate with Front-end associates and promote teamwork.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Report safety risks or illegal activity.
• Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and stressful environment.
• Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
