Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Front-end Department Leader to create an outstanding customer experience and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals and supervise front-end operations.

You will manage scheduling, assist with budgeting and labor planning, enforce quality assurance and safety standards, and coach associates to work with respect, integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to lead, motivate and coach front-end staff.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
• Assist in monitoring budgets, labor scheduling and cash controls.
• Schedule front-end associates to ensure department coverage.
• Support the development and execution of department action plans.
• Adhere to safety procedures and food safety regulations.
