Rural King in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking a Front End Department Lead to oversee front-end operations, support cashiers, and ensure a fast, friendly customer experience.

You will train and lead front-end associates, manage cash handling and transactions, and collaborate with other departments to resolve customer needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail cashier, front-end, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong cash-handling, math, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify errors and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to use POS systems and retail technology.

Responsabilités

• Lead, train, and support front-end associates in daily operations.
• Oversee cashier and customer service desk transactions, including returns, exchanges, layaways, price disputes, and tax-exempt purchases.
• Manage cash handling, bank deposits, safe audits, layaway audits, and cash shortage research.
• Support registers as needed and educate associates on company programs, including loyalty, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan.
• Maintain front-end displays, supplies, popcorn, coffee stations, and other customer-facing areas.
• Follow loss-prevention procedures, including EAS deactivation and shrink awareness.
