Job summary

Albertsons Companies, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Customer Service Manager to support front-end operations, drive customer service excellence, and help achieve store performance goals.

You will oversee checkout efficiency, coach front-end associates, and ensure accurate cash handling and service standards. In this role you will collaborate with store leadership to schedule staff, monitor service levels, and maintain a positive, clean front-end environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing front-end operations and ensuring fast, accurate checkout service.
• Ability to coach and develop front-end associates and supervisors.
• Strong focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing and coordinate all front-end operations, ensuring fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service
• Support customer service programs and respond to customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Provide checkout support as needed, including register functions and customer assistance
• Support front-end activities including scheduling, service levels, and daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and a positive front-end environment
• Assist with cash handling processes including tills, safe counts, reconciliation, refunds, and transactions.
• Assist with monitoring inventory and ordering front-end supplies and materials.
• Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and developing front-end associates and supervisors.
• Support labor planning, budgeting, and expense control for the department
• Support compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Complete daily reports, payroll processes, and required documentation
• Assume responsibility for front-end operations in the absence of the Customer Service Manager.
