Job summary

TJ Maxx in Salem, OR is seeking a store supervisor to help deliver an excellent customer experience. You will lead an Associates team at the front of the store, ensuring prompt, courteous service and promotion of loyalty programs.

You will train others, manage registers, coordinate breaks, address customer concerns, and uphold labor laws, safety, and store policies. This role requires strong merchandising knowledge and the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Able to train others.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive customer experience and lead front-end Associates.
• Train and mentor Associates on front-end principles and loyalty programs.
• Assign registers, coordinate breaks, and ensure adequate POS coverage.
• Address customer concerns promptly and maintain a safe, organized store.
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and store plan; communicate priorities.
• Support safety, shrink reduction initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned.
