Responsibilities include operating the register, handling refunds and payments, providing lottery services where allowed, and ensuring tags are deactivated at sale. Weekend availability and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Minimum 18 years of age (19 in certain states for tobacco).
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and weekends.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
• Related retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and process sales with accurate transactions.
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold store policies.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, tender transactions, bag merchandise, and provide change.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area and respond to phone inquiries.
• Handle price discrepancies and maintain store accounting functions.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, bill pay, gift cards, and deposits.
• Provide lottery service (where allowed) and licenses, transmit faxes, and manage lost and found.
• Support and cooperate under pressure; resolve issues calmly and honestly.
• Ensure Electronic Article Surveillance tags are deactivated at point of sale.
