Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the POS system, handling cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures; identify unsafe conditions and report them.
• Inspect equipment and notify maintenance for repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions across the store.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines; work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and honestly regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues; assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
