Responsibilities

• Know products in the department and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of dairy specials.
• Provide fresh products as requested.
• Recommend items to ensure customers get what they want.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures, logs, and safety procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report items in need of repair.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks.
• Report all safety risks, theft, or fraud.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
