Job summary

Burlington Stores in Cedar Park, TX is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers with a warm, loud greeting, and report suspicious activity to leadership.

You should be comfortable standing for long periods, be able to communicate clearly, and contribute to shortage reduction programs while representing the company’s values.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm, loud greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress standards.
• Assist training of associates on shortage reduction programs.
