Job summary

Erewhon Market is seeking a front door security professional to help protect customers and the store while delivering friendly service at the entry. This role supports a safe shopping environment in a dynamic market setting in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities include deterring theft, verifying receipts, reporting incidents, and collaborating with management to ensure secure store operations. Must be able to stand and work in a fast-paced environment, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of front door security experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure environments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers
• Provide a presence at the front entry to deter theft by engaging with customers
• Prevent theft through constant awareness of customer activity and validating receipts
• Identify and resolve safety concerns
• Respond to alerts to check receipts and recover unpaid merchandise per policy
• Respond to suspicious activity
• Use de-escalation to limit disruptions in the store
• Maintain detailed records of security incidents and report to store management
• Collaborate with store management to investigate security incidents
• Other duties as assigned by management
