Job summary

Erewhon Market is seeking a Security Front Door Associate to greet customers, deter theft, and ensure safety at the store entrance. The role requires proactive engagement with customers and ongoing vigilance to protect merchandise and people.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of front door security experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work nights and weekends in a fast-paced team setting. This position supports a secure, welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a front door security employee.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers.
• Maintain a presence at the front entry to deter theft by engaging with customers.
• Validate receipts and recover unpaid merchandise as needed in accordance with company policies.
• Identify and resolve safety concerns to keep customers and team members safe.
• Respond to alerts and check receipts to recover unpaid merchandise.
• Address suspicious activity promptly and appropriately.
• Use de-escalation techniques to minimize disruptions in-store.
• Keep detailed records of security incidents and report them to store management.
• Collaborate with management to investigate security incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What You Will Do:

• Greet and assist customers
• Provide a presence at the front entry that will deter theft by engaging with customers
• Prevents theft through constant awareness of customer activity and urgently engaging with customers to validate receipts and recover unpaid merchandise
• Keeps our team members and customers safe by identifying and resolving safety concerns
• Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts, recover unpaid merchandise in compliance with Company policies and procedures
• Respond to any suspicious activity
• Uses de-escalation tactics to limit disruptions in the store
• Maintain detailed records of security incidents and report them to the appropriate store management
• Collaborate with store management to investigate security incidents
• Other duties as assigned by management

What You Will Bring:
