• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Lead in Grocery Retail or Customer Service.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, respond to inquiries and complaints, and lead by example.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, audits, and daily schedule setup.
• Manage cash handling, balancing, and secure draw/cash registers.
• Stay updated on holiday needs and market trends in Healthy/Grocery sectors.
• Drive membership sales and promotions, and support charity drives.
• Educate customers on Erewhon mission and standards of excellence.
• Assist Front End Manager with scheduling and time-off requests.
• Enforce policies in the absence of the Front End Manager.
• Support MODs with customer concerns and coach team members as needed.

What You Will Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints; lead by example.
• Ensures that all opening and closing procedures are performed. Procedures include but are not limited to: auditing safe; assuring equipment is in good, working order; stocking check stand area with bags, register receipt tape, etc.; setting up individual daily schedules, setting up all audit sheets.
• Responsible for accurate counting, balancing and securing of change drawer, safe, assigned cash register and “pick-ups” & “loans” to cashier’s registers.
• Keep updated on special cashier and merchandise needs that arise for holidays, as well as market trends in Healthy / Grocery industry.
• Drive membership sales and other promotions or non-profit donation drives. Inspire team to meet daily or monthly sales goals.
• Be an educator and brand expert, speak on the Erewhon mission and standards for excellence. Other related duties as assigned by upper management.
• Assist the Front End Manager with administrative tasks such as scheduling, requests for time off, and weekly recaps.
• Enforce policies when Front End Manager is not present.
• Assisting MOD’s with customer concerns when requested
• Hold Coaching Conversations with team members as needed.

What You Will Bring:

• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Lead in the Grocery Retail or Customer Service industry preferred.
• Bilingual English / Spanish preferable, but not necessary.
