The Ohioan Hotel & Event Center in Lewis Center, Ohio is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to join our team and oversee the front desk operations, ensuring smooth guest experiences at defined times. Qualifications

• Previous 1-2 years’ experience at a full service hotel or event center preferred.
• Required to perform math; read information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions.
• Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances.
• Problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans.
• Provide leadership and direction; mechanical aptitude; meeting schedules/deadlines; organizing; taking initiative.
• Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; directing other persons within a department, large work unit, and/or across several small work units.
• Opera Cloud preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk operations during defined shifts.
• Provide support to front desk associates when leadership is absent.
• May assume Duty Manager responsibilities including guest recovery and cash handling.
• Assist in producing weekly front desk schedules.
• Participate in meetings and training to improve departmental performance.
• Recommend policies and actions to meet departmental goals.
• Respond to emergencies and guest inquiries to ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Supervise staff including hiring/termination recommendations and training.
