Job summary

The Wildbirch Hotel in downtown Anchorage is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to lead the desk team, ensure smooth check-in/check-out, and deliver warm, guest-focused service.

Responsibilities include supervising front desk operations, training agents, handling guest concerns, managing cash and shift reports, and coordinating with Housekeeping. Flexible schedule and strong communication are essential; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of front desk or guest services experience in a hotel
• Experience with property management systems (Opera or similar)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise front desk operations during assigned shifts, ensuring accurate, efficient, and friendly check-in, check-out, and guest service
• Lead, coach, and support Front Desk Agents; assist with training new team members on systems, standards, and procedures
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when needed
• Oversee shift duties including cash handling, balancing, shift reports, and key control
• Monitor arrivals, departures, room status, and inventory in coordination with Housekeeping and other departments
• Uphold Hyatt and Joie de Vivre brand standards and hotel policies
• Help build schedules, monitor attendance, and support a positive, accountable team culture
• Act as manager on duty when assigned and respond to operational issues or emergencies
