Job summary

Allied Universal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Front Desk Computer Operations. You will greet visitors, verify access, monitor lobby activity, and support tenants and staff with professional service.

In this role, you will respond to incidents, maintain accurate records, and work as part of a collaborative team that values integrity and customer care in a dynamic commercial real estate environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of a commercial real estate location by greeting visitors, tenants, contractors, and/or vendors in a professional manner.
• Monitor access to the building lobby and reception area by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor passes, and following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records while communicating arrivals and access requests to appropriate building personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor front desk communications, including phones, radios, and electronic systems, and report suspicious activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
