GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cape Cod Community College's Center for Community and ProfessionalEducation (CCAPE) is seeking a dynamic, community-minded leader to serve as Senior Manager of Career and Technical Education. This isa unique opportunity to expand access to career and technicaltraining across the region ? building the pathways that help individuals gain credentials, change careers, and step into in-demand jobs, while strengthening the community partnerships that make that access possible. In this role, the Senior Manager of Career and Technical Education will lead the development, implementation, and management of CCAPE's open enrollment training portfolio ? from short-term credentialing to stackable, grant-funded programming ? in close partnership with community organizations, libraries, senior centers, and regional workforce partners. The Senior Manager will work hand-in-hand with the Senior Manager of Employer Engagement and Workforce Partnerships and the Director/Chief Workforce Development Officer to ensure CCAPE's programming reflects both industry demand and community need, and requires strong judgment, initiative, and a collaborative approach to carry out responsibilities effectively.
This position is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who thrives on building partnerships, designing programs that open doors for learners, and navigating the intersection of highereducation, workforce development, and community impact.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Develop and manage CCAPE's Career and Technical Education openenrollment portfolio, including but not limited to: short- tolong-term training, professional development, credentialing anddigital badges, Credit for Prior Learning based projects, stackablecredentials, bridging to credit bearing certificates and programs,grant-funded programming, career training programs, contract openenrollment programs, and other programs/projects as assigned.
- Cultivate and expand open enrollment training initiatives withcommunity partners (including libraries, senior centers, nonprofitand community-based organizations, and municipal partners) tobroaden public access to CCAPE programming across the region.
- Develop and maintain a CCAPE instructor talent bench in adherence to College policies and procedures that provides staffing for a wide range of course topics and programs via variousmodalities, such as virtual, hybrid, HyFlex, and in-person.
- Compile and maintain comprehensive information regardinginstructors, clients, students, funders, and program partners.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Employer Engagement andWorkforce Partnerships to conduct assessments to evaluate labormarket information and analyze workforce trends to ensure theCareer and Technical Education program open enrollment portfolioand Employer Contract Training portfolio meets market demand andspecific market and partner needs, and to collaborate on specialpartnerships and projects that benefit both areas.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Manager of EmployerEngagement and Workforce Partnerships to coordinate and shareprogram coordinator staff supporting both areas, ensuringcoordinators can be flexibly reallocated between teams duringperiods of high demand so that both Career and Technical Educationand Employer Engagement/Workforce Partnerships programming remainadequately staffed and supported.
- Oversee CCAPE open enrollment student/participant management,including but not limited to registration, attendance monitoring,reporting, and participant and program progress and outcomes.
- Facilitate the development of articulation agreements with theacademic programs, in collaboration with the Assistant Director andDirector/Chief Workforce Development Officer.
- Collaborate and manage outreach to external partners andcommunity, including but not limited to, industry/private sectorbusinesses, economic development and workforce organizations, andeducational institutions.
- Review and update the existing Career and Technical Educationopen enrollment portfolio and utilize formative and summativeevaluations for constant review of course materials and instructorquality.
- Identify and develop grant and funding proposals in partnershipwith the Director/Chief Workforce Development Officer and Directorof Grants Administration.
- Coordinate and partner with CCAPE's Employer Training team toexplore partnership programs between existing corporate curriculumand corporate instructors.
- Manage, process, and access open enrollment reports(enrollment, revenue, contact hours) for the College as requested,and annually/semiannually/quarterly reports (or as requested) forthe Department of Higher Education and other partners/funders asrequested. Manage CCAPE's open enrollment grant reportingrequirements and compliance.
- Generate program revenue through open enrollment portfolio tomeet or exceed 50% of CCAPE's revenue goal set forth eachyear.
- Focus on customer service best practices when working with CapeCod Community College members, including faculty, staff, andstudents.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that supportsthe professional growth of staff while fostering a commitment toservice excellence.

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education andexperience.
- Three years of related experience which may include developmentof training programs and management of training schedules orinstructors.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a flexible, hybridteam environment, including comfort with virtual collaboration andcommunication tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams), and the flexibility tosupport colleagues across team schedules as program needsrequire.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage workpriorities and assignments in a fast-paced, deadline drivenenvironment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and perform duties withminimal direction, including effective problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience with labor market and businessassessments to shape curriculum and trainings.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with externalorganizations, businesses, and the public, and work effectivelywith the campus community.
- Demonstrated understanding of underserved, vulnerable, andminority populations such as migrant and immigrant populations inthe Cape and Islands region.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, e.g., databasemaintenance, spreadsheet applications, and graphics. Must be anadvanced user of the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentationskills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team model,including partnering effectively with peer managers to coordinateand share staff resources across program areas as needs arise.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and from meetings,trainings, or campus and community locations as required.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree.
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to education, business,and/or management.
- Three years of experience in the development of career andtechnical trainings, professional development and special trainingprograms, management of multiple diverse training schedules, and/ormanagement of multiple part-time instructors with diverseportfolios.
- Demonstrated experience with the development of trainingprograms in partnership with business leaders in private, public,and nonprofit organizations.
- Demonstrated experience developing future projected careerpathways, with a focus on underserved populations.
- Demonstrated experience working in higher education, with apreference for community college experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Jenzabar, Salesforce andCourseStorm, as well as various Customer Relations Management (CRM)platforms and project management platforms, such as Trello.
- Demonstrated knowledge and consistent experience in usingvaried social media outlets on behalf of a business ororganization.
- Robust understanding and demonstrated inclusion of access,equity, and student success practices.
- Ability to speak a language in addition to English.

Additional Information
COMPENSATION
Annual Salary Range of $82,000 - $87,000,dependent upon qualifications and experience. Full-time, Non-unitProfessional Position that includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program and the option for membership in the Massachusetts State Employees' Retirement System.
