Job summary

Golden State Orthopedics and Spine is seeking a full-time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced medical office. You will register patients, collect data and payments, and schedule appointments with the correct physician while ensuring a smooth patient flow.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience in a medical practice; Spanish bilingual capability is preferred to assist our diverse patient base.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience at a medical practice preferred.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients with required data, insurance, co-pays and deposits.
• Scan IDs and insurance cards; obtain signatures on documents.
• Schedule appointments with the correct physician.
• Arrange authorizations, interpreters or transportation as needed.
• Respond to front desk alert notes and maintain daily records.
• Process daily paperwork and privacy notices.
• Scan daily documents (policies, authorizations, referrals).
• Sort incoming faxes and route to the correct department.
• Monitor waiting room and keep patients informed of delays.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
