Tennessee Oncology in Nashville is seeking a Communications Operator/Patient Service Representative to serve as the primary resource for answering multiple incoming lines, routing messages, and supporting check-in and medical records functions.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of medical terminology, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced oncology office while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency with standard office software and devices.

Responsabilités

• Answers all incoming calls promptly and professionally.
• Routes calls and messages, offers voicemail or redirection as needed.
• Greets patients/visitors and assists as appropriate.
• Performs patient check-in/check-out and collects demographic and insurance information.
• Pre-certifies diagnostic tests and admissions as required by insurance.
• Preps EMR or paper charts for review by staff.
• Monitors and routes faxes and mail; scans records into EMR.
