Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Front Office/Customer Experience Representative at Banner Childrens, located at 1220 S Higley Rd, Mesa, AZ. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will perform registration, verify insurance, collect patient liabilities, schedule visits, and provide financial guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; experience in patient financial services is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of office software and basic data entry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Register/check-in patients by collecting information and signatures.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-certifications, referrals, and authorizations as needed.
• Calculate and collect patient liability; explain financial policies and payment options.
• Enter payments/charges and reconcile daily transactions; balance cash drawer.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with care teams; confirm next-day visits.
• Provide patient services and assist in patient flow, including escorting patients and handling requests.
• Respond to patient records requests in compliance with policies and laws.
