Job summary

Athletico is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to manage patient intake and financial clearance while delivering a seamless front-office experience. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, educate on payments, and support revenue cycle with accurate data in our clinic.

This full-time role requires collaboration with PES, Billing and clinical teams, proficiency in MS Office, EMR systems, and a patient-first approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills essential.
• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience with requesting and managing customer payments preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience required.
• 1-2 years of healthcare administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues promptly.
• Accurately complete patient intake and registration, including demographics and insurance eligibility.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing and clinical teams to resolve issues.
• Utilize EMR systems, dashboards, and reporting tools for data accuracy.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes to referral sources.
• Organize patient milestone celebrations and community activities with the clinical team.
• Participate in training to maintain front-office proficiency.
