Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience as a Medical Assistant or a Medical Assistant diploma/certification.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred.
• Knowledgeable of personal computers.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to travel to other clinic sites as needed.
• Scheduled hours and/or work locations subject to change.

Responsibilities

• Assists day-to-day operations of front and back office; coordinates referrals and patient communication.
• Administers injections and assists with EKGs, vision/hearing screenings, waive testing; supports exams.
• Obtains medical history, vitals; documents quality metrics; participates in audits; MA duties across areas.
• Maintains inventory of supplies; ensures equipment calibration; stocks exam rooms.
• Registers patients, updates demographics, data entry; verifies insurance; posts encounter data.
• Performs end-of-day reconciliation; ensures cash is secured and deposited.
• Prepares for next day clinic; pre-registers patients; screens for program eligibility.
• Provides exceptional customer service; greets clients; addresses concerns; assists other departments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
