Job summary

The YMCA of the Black Hills is seeking a Front Desk/Member Services Associate in Custer, SD. This part-time role involves welcoming members, answering questions, and delivering friendly service in person and over the phone.

You will conduct tours, assist with memberships, and provide program information while developing positive relationships with volunteers and members. The position includes light janitorial duties and adherence to YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly and answer questions in person or by phone.
• Provide excellent member services to support retention and satisfaction.
• Conduct tours and interviews to inform prospective members about programs.
• Sell memberships and provide accurate program information.
• Handle administrative tasks including opening/closing procedures, towel distribution, and locker room upkeep.
