NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) Newport is seeking a part-time Front Desk Associate for our NHG property. You will welcome guests, handle check-ins, provide information on lodging, amenities, and local attractions, and ensure smooth front desk operations with a focus on guest privacy and safety.

Qualifications

• One year of general office clerical experience.
• One year progressively responsible experience related to the position.
• Education may substitute for experience per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional courteous guest service and information on lodging, amenities, local attractions and directions.
• Processes guest check-ins and check-outs, verifies eligibility, assigns rooms, issues keys, collects payments and provides receipts.
• Uses the PMS to modify, confirm and cancel reservations; maintains guest records and accounts; assists with group reservations.
• Responds to guest requests and complaints; resolves routine issues and refers complex matters to management.
• Operates multi-line phones, records and communicates messages; coordinates guest requests including wake-up calls and emergencies.
• Processes credit card transactions, reconciles cash, and prepares shift reports.
