Job summary

HOME2 Suites - Baltimore/Aberdeen is seeking an attentive front desk professional to provide courteous guest service and manage check-ins, check-outs and inquiries on a daily basis.

You will act as Manager on Duty as needed, ensuring guest privacy and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to resolve requests while promoting hotel amenities. A high school diploma is required, and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the entire property, staff, services, hours of operation, room types, locations, rates and discounts.
• Familiar with Frequent Stay Program and reservations procedures including cancellations and walking guest
• Proficient in phone etiquette and answering procedures
• Ability to assist guests with directions to area attractions and services
• Keep up to date on changes, events and new procedures; perform Manager on Duty functions when needed

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests, assign rooms, protect guest privacy, and fulfill special requests when possible
• Promote and sell hotel services and amenities
• Encourage repeat business by taking future reservations and offering recommendations
• Identify sales leads through guest interactions and report to the appropriate person
• Keep other departments informed of special requests, late check-outs, and guest needs
• Ensure all payments and cash handling are balanced at shift end
