Job summary

Residence Inn Birmingham Downtown at UAB, part of HEI Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a friendly Front Desk Associate to assist guests with arrival and departure and ensure a memorable experience. You will greet guests, manage registrations, and support the front desk with payments and inquiries, contributing to a smooth stay.

Previous hotel or front desk experience is preferred; strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hotel front desk experience preferred.
• Ability to greet guests warmly and communicate clearly.
• Proficient in inputting guest information and processing payments.
• Strong computer and math skills for billing and check-in/out.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, sincere welcome and provide information on hours and local attractions.
• Handle registration and payment processing, assign rooms, and issue keys.
• Verify and imprint credit cards, handle cash, and balance a house bank.
• Answer phone calls, take messages, and assist guests with requests and inquiries.
• Close guest accounts at checkout and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints and work to reach satisfactory resolutions.
