Job summary

Residence Inn Birmingham Downtown at UAB is seeking a friendly Front Desk Guest Services Associate to assist guests during arrival and departure. You will register guests, process payments, issue room keys, and provide local recommendations with a welcoming attitude.

Hotel experience is preferred. You will interact with guests and colleagues, handle a POS system, and ensure accurate billing while delivering exceptional service across shifts.

Qualifications

• Hotel or front desk experience preferred.
• Strong communication and math/calculation skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly welcome and assist arrivals.
• Complete registration and input guest data into the computer system.
• Code electronic keys and prepare welcome folders with keys and materials.
• Verify credit cards and process payments; handle vouchers and charges.
• Answer phones promptly and relay messages clearly to guests.
• Close accounts at checkout and address guest concerns to ensure satisfaction.
