Job summary

IHG Hotels is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, handle check-in/check-out, and provide local insights for a memorable stay. You’ll manage bookings, acknowledge rewards members, and ensure smooth transactions.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and flexibility for night or weekend shifts. A high school diploma is expected, with a college degree as a bonus. This is an on-site position at our Missouri locations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve guest concerns.
• Fluency in the local language is preferred; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests and manage the check-in/check-out process.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests.
• Take and manage guest bookings and suggest upgrades to improve stays.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Verify IDs and issue room keys; manage safety deposit boxes.
• Record guest preferences and respond to requests and concerns.
• Be a trusted contact for guests and assist with local knowledge and escalations.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents; wear required gear.
• Present a professional appearance and act as a brand ambassador.
• Stay informed about daily events and activities; assist colleagues as needed.
