Holiday Inn Express Mira Mesa in San Diego is seeking a Front Desk Agent to check guests in and out quickly, process payments, and provide information and courteous service using the hotel management system.

The role requires 1–2 years of customer service experience, the ability to stand for 8 hours, and basic computer skills including email, word processing and spreadsheets. We encourage advancement and offer a travel discount program.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Registers guests, issues room keys, provides information on hotel services and room location, and answers phones in prompt and courteous manner.
• Up-sells rooms whenever possible to maximize hotel revenue.
• Accurately processes all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures, including posting charges, completing cashier reports, preparing deposits, and securing assign bank.
• Issues, controls and releases guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Communicates any outstanding guest requests or issues to management for follow-up.
• Responds to guest complaints with service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.
