Job summary

Fairfield Inn & Suites - Birmingham is seeking a Front Desk Agent to greet guests, manage registrations, process payments and promote hotel services. You will assist guests, confirm reservations, and communicate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready on time.

The role requires strong communication, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a fast-paced hotel environment. Prior front desk or hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to read, write and speak English proficiently and interact with guests.
• Familiar with basic office equipment and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly tone and handle registration and check-in/check-out processes.
• Provide information about rooms, rates and hotel amenities; upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain cash handling procedures and balance cash bank daily.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for check-in and departures are confirmed.
