Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have high school graduate level mathematical aptitude, know standard cash handling procedures and knowledge of computerized cash register systems.
• Past experience dealing directly with the public and basic customer service skills are required.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful situations.
• Highly organized and able to pay attention to minute details while multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and completes established check-in procedures for arriving guests using manual and computerized methods.
• Facilitates guest departure by closing accounts and preparing rooms for the next sell.
• Regularly handles cash transactions with accuracy and maintains hotel records.
• Answers inquiries and accepts reservations in person or by phone, communicating rates and information.
• Maintains good customer relations with timely, knowledgeable responses both in person and on the phone.
• Operates PBX equipment, schedules wake-up calls, and assists guests with requests.
