Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Guest Service Agent at Residence Inn Portland/Scarborough to provide attentive, courteous service during check-in, stay, and checkout. You will help maximize room revenue and occupancy while maintaining Highgate standards.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, handling inquiries, operating the PBX, and logging packages. A friendly, professional demeanor and prior front desk experience are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer Services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk per Highgate Hotel standards.
• Maintain proper operation of the PBX console and ensure hotel standards are met.
• Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation promptly.
• Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
• Balance and prepare shift paperwork; review Front Office logs and daily trace files.
• Assist guests with reservations, rate quotes and information about local services.
