Job summary

Extended Stay America Premier Suites Portland in North Portland, OR is seeking a Front Desk Agent to be the first contact and impression for guests, handling check-ins and check-outs and guiding guests on amenities, dining, and directions.

Responsibilities include coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to minimize out-of-order rooms, operating the hotel switchboard, and balancing cash with daily accounting reports.

Qualifications

• Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, dining, and travel directions.
• Manage guest check-ins and check-outs appropriately.
• Contact housekeeping and/or maintenance when a problem is reported and perform basic maintenance to minimize out of order rooms.
• Balance cash at the end of the shift and generate accounting reports for the benefit of the next shift.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required—we welcome applicants at all experience levels.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in internet software, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Strong customer service skills with a guest-focused approach.
