Basic FunctionThe Front Desk Agent provides professional customer service, ensuring an efficient, friendly check-in/out process, guest settlement, and interaction with guests, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications: Education, Knowledge, Training, & Work Experience- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of college preferred
- Two years of service industry experience, preferably in hospitality
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
Essential Functions/Responsibilities- Check guests in, ensuring proper credit, noting and fulfilling special requests, and verifying information
- Complete all guest transactions accurately
- Promote and sell special hotel programs
- Interact professionally with resort staff and assist other departments as needed
- Know emergency procedures and policies
- Maintain house bank
- Communicate pertinent information to Front Office Managers and Supervisors
- Follow procedures for posting charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds
- Solicit guest feedback through comment cards
Marginal Functions- Cross-train in PBX, concierge, and bell services
- Assist other departments as needed
EnvironmentOffice setting with overhead lighting and ventilation. Constant guest contact.
