American Family Fitness in Williamsburg seeks a friendly front desk ambassador to warmly greet current and potential members and answer questions for a pleasant visit. You will assist with inquiries, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth club experience.

The role requires a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays, along with accurate check-ins, payment handling, and keeping the front desk area orderly.

Qualifications

• Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work nights and/or weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Arrive five to ten minutes early to read and sign the communication log.
• Dress in appropriate attire, including nametag.
• Clock in under employee number.
• Smile and greet members and guests by name upon entering club in a pleasant and cordial manner.
• Understand and implement guest policy.
• Monitor member check in by checking their membership card and photo id.
• Understand and administer the "UPS" system for the membership directors.
• Answer phone within three rings and direct all incoming calls appropriately and take detailed messages.
• Take phone messages with name and phone number; initial all messages.
• Record all reservations with name and phone number and initials.
• Take names on sign-up sheet for the Strong class up to one hour in advance.
• Attend mandatory monthly meeting.
• Collect and log fees; issue receipts, attach payment slips, and file securely.
• Open and close club; follow duties list.
• Inform members of upcoming activities, promotions, and policy changes.
• Maintain a clean and attractive front desk area.
• Prepare new member packets.
• Prepare and log status forms.
