Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Meat Department Associate to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandize meats.

You will assist members, answer questions, and make product recommendations while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the meat department. Responsibilities include weighing, packaging, labeling, assisting the meat cutter, inspecting deliveries, rotating stock by expiration dates, and ensuring all cases are stocked and organized for a fresh, high-quality display.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in meat or deli departments preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, seafood, and cheeses.
• Weigh, package, wrap and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Assist the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• Inspect and store meat on delivery; rotate products by expiration dates.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and cases in the meat department.
