Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking team members for the Meat Department in a fast-paced retail setting. You will assist Members, help stock and rotate meat, seafood, and cheese, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards across the department.

The role emphasizes teamwork, speed, and a positive member experience, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and following club policies. The position requires reliability and the ability to lift and move items in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood and make product recommendations.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label meats, poultry, and seafood and assist the meat cutter with packaging.
• Inspect and store meat on delivery and ensure it meets quality standards.
• Ensure cases are stocked with meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese and rotate per expiration dates.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and meat department areas.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support other duties as needed.
• Attend to full attendance as an essential function of the job.
