Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department associate in New Jersey to receive, weigh, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, and assist Members with questions and recommendations. You will help maintain all cleaning and safety standards within the meat department.

We value teamwork and speed, with opportunities to work across departments as needed. Prior meat/deli experience and wrapping-machine familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Receives, weighs, wraps, and merchandises meats and seafood.
• Assists in merchandising seafood, rotisserie chickens, prepared foods, and cheeses.
• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions and recommending products.
• Maintains cleaning and safety standards within the meat department.
