Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Meat Department Associate. You will weigh, package, wrap, and label meat products, assist in seafood and deli sections, and help Members by answering questions. Maintain cleanliness, rotate stock by expiration, and support club policies for a safe, friendly shopping experience.

Typical duties include stocking cases, ensuring product availability, and providing fast, accurate service to Members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Experience with fresh and processed meats preferred.
Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
Experience in meat and/or deli department preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Assist Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood and make product recommendations.
Weigh, package, wrap and label meats, poultry, and seafood; assist in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
Inspect and store meat on delivery and ensure quality standards are met.
Ensure meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are stocked and rotated by expiration date.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all department areas and adhere to club policies.
